Another great day of squash at Nuffield this weekend. With over 20 ladies attending the day either to play squash or just to enjoy the social aspect and watch some great games. One time Nuffield player Mette Brink, flew from Denmark just to take part ! What dedication and very sorry she ended up twisting her ankle, wishing her a speedy recovery.
In all 13 ladies played squash throughout the day, split into two groups and then playing in a plate and main final. We saw some really competitive games, but in the end the plate final was won by Nicky Seabrook who beat Carmel Horgan and in the main event Mhairi Gritz beat Sheila Blake 2-0. Throughout the day the atmosphere was buzzing with chatter and laughter and it really is great to see everyone enjoying their squash.
Isobel also presented the league winners with their trophies. Activeless ladies won the division again, with Nuffield coming second. The Jan Ingham Trophy for Best Individual Player was won by Mhairi Gritz from Activeless ladies team for the second year running. Well done to her.
Everyone chatted happily into the early evening, another enjoyable day.
