Gosling 2 challenged Nuffield 2 in the final of the herts junior cup at broxbourne in April 2011.
Gosling won 3-2 against St Albans, a team who has beaten them to promotion place in the league. The fixture really had a crucial moment in Dave McMahon and Nick Boardman, at the closing stages of the fifth game Nick made a shot selection error that still haunts him. Dave took the game and the team victory was ensured.
Mike Bryne team captain said he could get used to the taste of victory. Wining once every 25 years means there is pleanty of space in the trophy cabinet.
St Albans finished only a hand full of points above Gosling in the Division 3 league results. Andy Homeyard Nuffield Team captain said “we had several close matches against Gosling this year, we won a league promotion place and Gosling get the junior cup, we look forward to our next encounter and the familiar post match pizzas”.
