Another great day of squash at Nuffield yesterday. With over 25 ladies attending the day either to play squash or just to enjoy the social aspect and watch some great games. One lady hadn’t played for 18 years but picked up a racket and could still hit the ball well, not sure how achy she will be today! Well done Mandi.
We saw some really competitive games, but in the end the plate final was won by Colleen Shelley who beat Lesley Garner 2-0 and in the main event Nyah Williams beat Jo Preston 2-0. Throughout the day the atmosphere was buzzing with chatter and laughter and it really is great to see everyone enjoying their squash.
Isobel also presented the league winners with their trophies. Activeless ladies won the division, with Harpenden coming second beating Tring into third place by one point. A more competitive season this year. The Jan Ingham Trophy for Best Individual Player was won by Mhairi Gritz from Activeless ladies team. Well done to her.
