Thanks to everyone who made the effort to enter the Herts Closed which was held at Broxbourne Squash Club this weekend, we had 56 entries in all; the numbers were down on last year but we still witnessed some incredible and entertaining squash. Congratulations to all the winners and runners up. Particular congratulations to Radlett’s Angus Gillams who made history by becoming the first player from Hertfordshire to win the Senior Men’s County Championship and the Under 19 County Championship in the same season. Not only does he hold both titles but he won them in the same weekend, rushing between Broxbourne and Nuffield to play both tournaments! A great achievement and someone we should all look out for in the future.
